LOST WATERPROOF CAMERA/SHENANDOAH RIVER

- On Sunday 8/29/2010 we dropped our waterproof camera while tubing on the Shenandoah in about 5-7 feet of water. It is a ROYAL BLUE OLYMPUS. My fiance dropped it about midstream about 100 yards upstream from the RT 17 bridge along Swift Shoals Road. There is a canoe launch under the bridge there.It is very slow moving there so I don't think the camera will drift much and there are a lot of rocks for it to wedge in, we didn't have masks to search and I think it might not be too hard to find with a mask and maybe fins. We don't live in the area and are very disappointed as of course, the camera was lost after we took a days worth of tubing pictures. Whoever finds it may keep the camera but we would really like the SD card. Camera should be rinsed well in clean water and dried thoroughly before opening to remove SD card..email for directions if unsure..like the outdoors and like a challenge????? Please help us out. Missing Pet Parrot (Black-Capped Conure) named

- Responds to the name, "BLACKJACK" 1-year-old Black-Capped Conure (approx. 10î from head to tail) with green cheeks, black feathers from top of head to nape, black & white feathers on neck, red under wings/blue flight feathers and a black beak. Flew from Clipper Creek neighborhood by Fort Eustis on 4/9/2010. Last sighted by another conure owner in York County near 17 the following week and informed (by same person) that Animal Control picked him up on 4/23/2010 but Animal Control doesn't have any information about this dispatch. Becoming extremely worried that Blackjack has been injured by predatory birds/wildlife or taken in by someone who has no intention of returning him to his human family. We miss him dearly. Bracelet (band) # is: 4636. Blackjack loves saying his name repeatedly (even during sleep) or calling his partnerís name, which is ìKiwi.î Please call Veronica or Edward @ 757/285-5850 or 757/589-3147 if you have found our feathered kid in your neighborhood. May be nibbling from your bird feeders. May land on your head or shoulder for attention but be cautious because he will practice "plastic surgery" on your blemishes or fingernail cuticles, which is a common behavioral trait. - Windsor Lake Apartments, Virginia Beach. Found small orange tabby, no collar, no white markings. Approx. 7 lbs. Appears to have been away from home for a while, she was extremely hungry, dirty, and has fleas. We've set up a temporary home for her outside on our patio, fed her, and cleaned her up a bit, but we cannot bring her inside due to apartment lease regulations. Extremely friendly kitty.
